PNFS signpost no. 150

The Peak and Northern Footpaths Society (PNFS) is a voluntary organisation dedicated to protecting and enhancing the network of public footpaths in northern England. Perhaps their most visible work is the installation of these distinctive green cast-iron signposts to guide users of the paths.

This signpost, number 150, was installed in 1966 on Green Lane, Disley, Cheshire and is unusual among PNFS signposts for its pointed shape (the majority are rectangular, with directions being indicated by embossed arrows).
